Data import/export framework parameters – Directory c:\temp\dixf\ does not exist

Summary
I was working with the on-premise Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations instance, specifically the Virtual Machine when I came across an error setting up a BYOD.
Data import/export framework parameters - Directory 'c:\temp\dixf\' does not exist
The Solution
It took some working out, but the resolution for this issue is to create the directories.
If this doesn’t work, ensure the permissions for the temp folder is available to Everyone and ensure that permissions is set to full control.
The validation checks should now succeed.
